CNY will nt be e same anymore?
usually @ tis time on CHU YI,i wld be on my way 2 my grandma's hse where all e relatives bout 30 plus of us will gather there 4 lunch..but tis yr tis tradition has been broken..same goes 2 our reunion dinner..used 2 haf it @ my grandma's place too but ytd we had it @ our aunt's place instead..all e changes in arrangements is coz my grandparents r now staying in nursing homes(coz they r senile & it has nt really been safe wif maids looking after them)..hai..it's saddening 2 think dat my grandparents cant even celebrate CNY wif their family & relatives..like my grandpa he cldnt even cum out 2 haf reunion dinner wif us ytd coz he's quite active though he's now wheelchair-bound & may fall & injure himself again..really miss their presence though i dun really talk much 2 them but seeing e smiles on their faces whenever they see their grandchildren & e younger generations already warms my heart..i used 2 be doted most by them coz i was e youngest in dat generation..but now sometimes they cant even acknowledge me correctly..hai..anywae i pray dat my beloved grandparents will get better & live to a ripe old age!well 4 me,e CNY festive mood is lost already..i rem when i was younger i used 2 get really excited bout CNY coz we get 2 don pretty new clothes & meet relatives & eat yummy new yr goodies!but now..i dun even see e dress i bought 4 CNY tis yr of much use..we wont be going 2 my grandma's hse & so it means i wont get 2 see those relatives..unless we happen 2 run into them when we visit my grandparents @ their nursing homes..so todae will be dedicated 2 my maternal side instead..4 my maternal side act there isnt much visiting 2 do except wif immediate family members..well i realised CNY has lost its meaning as yrs go by..& my CNY may nv be e same again:(
