haf lots to blog bout today..so be prepared for e long entry!

first of all, i had a gd 10 hrs of sleep today =)

& nv did i ever expect my tuition lesson to turn into a cooking session..haha..coz in e middle of our tuition lesson today, my tutee announced dat she was hungry & felt like cooking instant noodles. so i was asking her if she had biscuits or anything dat she cld munch on instead..but she said her hse was deviod of food except for eggs. so i offered to cook an omelette for her. since there wasnt any cheese, i came up wif a prawn & mayonnaise omelette..nv tried tis combi b4..tasted nt too bad..haha..but of course it'll still taste best wif cheese.

so after she had her fill, we resumed our tuition. & when e time was up, she told me she was thinking of cooking dinner for herself & her dad as her mum was working late. nt knowing how to go bout cooking e macaroni she had found in her hse, she asked if i was in a rush coz she knew i was going out after dat..but since i still had quite some time to spare, i told her i cld help her wif it. so she brought me to e nearest supermarket & we bought xiao bai cai, minced meat & fishballs. actually in e end my tutee did most of e cooking by herself..i juz stood ard to assist her..haha

cld sense dat she was quite excited bout us doing e cooking together haha..& she even shared her secret wif me today. i mean in e past, we haf nv talked bout her personal life, things like relationships or bout guys..coz she has nv opened up to me bout such stuffs. so it's gd dat we r getting closer..sth i'm happie bout. but i wld be even happier if she cld put more effort in her studies.

well anyway, after e interesting tuition session i had, i went over to bugis to meet Joa for dinner. we settled our dinner @ Sakae Sushi & after dat were craving to haf ice cream for dessert. so we left Sakae to look for an ice cream parlour..& ended walking out of bugis. Joa suggested dat we cld go to tis place in Marina Square which sells quite nice Japanese ice cream since we were already walking towards dat direction. finally after walking all e way to Marina, found e place(Azabu Sabo) & sat in..e waiter told us dat e soft ice cream machine was down.

since it was my first time there, i thought probably there were other kinds of desserts but when we browsed thru e menu, we realised there was only a pathetic no. of desserts left for us to choose..& those desserts didnt entice us at all. at dat pt of time, we had e urge to leave e place but e waiter had already served us green tea. so we called a waitress over & pretended to ask her stuffs bout e desserts..& thus took e chance to tell her dat we specially came here for e soft ice cream..but in e end, to avoid e embarassing situation of standing up & leaving e place since e waitress already had tis awkward expression on her face..we ordered e Japanese rice cake.

& when it came..it looked pathetic, juz two square pieces of rice cake sprinked with grounded nuts & with red bean by e side. it tasted almost like "muah chee"..in fact i think "muah chee" tastes nicer coz of e sugar. while grumbling bout walking all e way here, not getting to eat our ice cream & still having to eat tis thingy which costs $6.50..we were "tearing" e rice cake into pieces (even though we cld actually juz gobble it down wif one mouth) coz we wanted to "savour" it bit by bit..haha. guessed we looked quite "uncouth" doing so..& with me accidentally breaking one side of my chopsticks while working my way thru wif e rice cake, we cldnt help but burst out laughing..haha.

well..e next time we plan to go there for dessert again, we had better make sure dat e ice cream is available. but anyway it's nt e food dat really matters, it's e company =P it was nice catching up wif Joa =) hope we can catch up more e next time!
