here's how my mid-autumn day went...
had a project meeting ytd which dragged till bout 7 plus so was late at getting 2 my bosses' condo. but i realised it wasnt really a mid-autumn celebration coz there were no lanterns, candles or mooncakes! instead it was a gathering by e poolside wif bbq food. but i did enjoy myself =)
my boss, Adrian was e "cook" so he helped me prepare chicken chop wif fries, nuggets & fishballs. yummy! at e beginning, Ace, e organiser of e event told us dat everyone (bout 12 of us) was to talk bout e most outrageous thing dat has ever happened in our lives. well i really cldnt think of any..but in e end i juz mentioned bout a pretty stupid incident dat had happened b4..haha. everyone had their turn & it was quite interesting listening to e different stories. anyway after dat it was charades. it was quite fun coz i've nv really played charades wif older pple b4 haha. i managed to guess quite a few correctly & Ace commented dat next time if i'm ard he muz set more difficult ones..haha.
anyway after a round of charades, it was a sharing & thanking session, in which my bosses shared bout their thoughts & expressed their thanks to each of us for our contributions to e company. was pretty touched by e speeches made by my bosses coz i understand it really isnt easy to build up tis events company. juz having been there for 3 mths haf already opened my eyes to how tough & challenging tis field of work is. anyway after e speeches, my lady boss, Chris suggested dat each of us share bout our dreams for e future. it was quite nice listening 2 wat everyone had 2 say bout their dreams. however after e sharing, i had to excuse myself coz RP mates were waiting for me @ jer's place.
yup so next up was our RP's own mini mid-autumn celebration! & tis time there were lanterns, candles & fire sparklers..but still no mooncake =( anyway so jer, ryan, hui, zip, cand & i went to e playground area to play. we each lighted up our own paper lanterns..but some of them gt burnt coz of e strong wind & maybe also becoz e lanterns were too small. (haha i gt e small ones coz they r cheaper..haha cheapo rite.). we also played wif fire sparklers. but we forgot 2 bring down our cameras so only managed to capture blur pics of us wif a handphone camera.
after we cleared up our stuffs, we went to a nearby coffeeshop for supper & drinks while we listened to cand's "story". after which we went back 2 jer's place to take our stuffs. i stayed over @ cand's place 4 e nite & we chatted on e bed till bout 3 plus b4 we gt tired & fell asleep. then we had breakfast together today b4 i headed off for my usual Touch visit.
it was indeed quite a memorable mid-autumn festival! at least there was some form of celebration & most imptly, i gt 2 spend it wif my dear frenz =) hope dat e cuming yrs of mid-autumn festival will also be as interesting!
