yeah e paper i dread most is done & over wif..i can bid farewell to those geog notes & readings!haha. well i still haf 3 more to go! frankly i'm kinda pleased wif tis sem's exam schedule..fairly spread out so i've juz enuf time to prepare for them..hopefully!haha..& also becoz i've only gt 4 papers tis sem..my 1st ever record in my NUS life =p
btw juz 2 share sth...i was a little bored frm facing my advertising book in e late afternoon juz now & so happened to tune to tis Channel NewsAsia programme - 20/20 Primetime & e content caught my attention. it was an interview feature with an author, Nora Vincent who wrote a book, Self-Made Man: One Woman's Journey into Manhood and Back Again. wat is interesting is dat she actually disguised herself as a man for eighteen months!
Posing as "Ned," she joined an all-male bowling league, dated women, worked for a door-to-door sales force, spent three weeks in a monastery, hung out in strip clubs and, most dangerous of all, went on a Robert Bly–style men's retreat.
in her book, she describes her experiences posing as a man and what she had learnt. & in e short interview, she mentioned dat she was surprised by some of e things she found out about men especially based on e many assumptions women have bout them. she realised dat "men aren't what women think they are."
i think e book will be pretty interesting..gives us another perspective of men..then maybe we'll get to understand men better..juz like how men wish they can understand women better too rite?haha. probably will go search for e book in e library after my exams =)
