spent e entire day outside ytd..frm 10am till 1am..but it was time well-spent =)
went for e last touch visit (b4 e volunteers take a break for their exams) in e morning..& e visit sort of turned into a ktv session haha..coz one of e volunteers brought along his guitar & we had a singing session at one of e elderly's hse. glad to see dat e elderly enjoyed our singing coz she kept smiling & clapping along..dun think she really knew e songs we were singing most of e time though..haha..
anyway after dat, i rushed down to meet my parents & sis for lunch..it was for my dad's bday & we decided to bring him to tis Pow Sing Restaurant at Serangoon Gardens. ate their hainanese chicken which is wat they r famous for & a few other side dishes..think e food's quite good..probably coz i was famished then..haha..but my mum actually complimented most of e dishes..good..shows dat my parents had a satisfied meal =) after e lunch, we headed down to People's Park to get some brochures frm e tour agencies coz we were thinking of going on some holiday during dec. it's actually my idea coz i really want to take a break frm work & get out of spore..but we r still contemplating..might nt be going in e end coz e places we prefer to go will need more days which i dun think i can take too many days leave..hai..see how ba..probably gotta wait till next yr.
anyway after we had some dessert at People's Park, i went wif my parents to haf a look at e newly built Buddha Tooth Relic Temple..didnt noe bout it till my sis brought it up. actually by then i was supposed to be meeting e gals for min's bday dinner but they were an hr late! luckily i was still wif my parents. finally ling & min came (jinx was caught up in project meeting) and we went to Eden Cafe for dinner. i happened to chance upon e website of e cafe when i was searching for cafes to suggest for e dinner..glad it turned out to be a great place! they haf many types of fusion tea, and their food also taste quite unique! & we tried their hibiscus cheesecake..interesting ya? e owner of e cafe is also very friendly & came to haf a conversation wif us bout his cafe & e interesting ideas he has. i'll definitely go back there again to try their other dishes & fusion teas! =p
after e dinner, we decided to go some place nearer to smu whereby jinx can find us when her meeting ends. so min suggested tis place called Timbre where there's live music. but we queued for almost 45 mins to get a seat..faint! anyway we shared a roasted duck thin crust pizza coz poor jinx had nt had dinner & also two glasses of cocktail. stayed there till past 12 midnight & i started feeling really sleepy..maybe coz of e long day out & also coz of e drinks..kept dozing off in e cab back. finally reached home at bout 1am & dropped dead on e bed.
so e after effect is dat i'm still very tired today..but had to drag myself all e way to bukit gombak for my driving lesson..then quickly rushed home to take a 3 hr nap b4 helping my mum to do some cleaning & now spending some time online.
well i want to go to bed early today & i better make sure i do..coz i need e energy to prepare for a tough week which i foresee. alrite..ending off e post wif some pics i took wif my cam at e Eden Cafe coz e rest r in ling's cam.
