Firstly, Happy New Year to all my dear frenz!!! hope u all had a good New Year's Eve & Day! =)
well i had a pretty good time during e 2 days, though nt exactly very exciting or interesting activities coz they were not planned well ahead =( but it beats staying at home doing nth..hmm doing nth shldnt be e right word to use, if i'm home, there'll be a higher tendency dat workaholic me will end up working.
ok anyway juz a quick review of wat i did for e past 3 days.
Sun
lunch wif e CNM gals at Suntec's NYDC. it's been quite some time since we last met..esp wif gillian who was updating us bout her job. she also has a really shitty lady boss..looks like we r really suay! =( anyway we did some quick shopping at citylink mall b4 we each went our seperate ways. i went over to novena to meet cand 1st coz she wanted to check out sth there..then we headed down to clark quay to meet jer. it's also been ages since we 3 last met..all due to our busy schedules! anyway we went to Hooters for dinner but was nt really hungry so we shared curly fries & chicken wings recommended by cand. sera was supposed to meet us too but by e time she left her hse, we were almost done wif our food. so we decided to meet her straight at jer's hse for some mahjong instead of hanging outside. however, we cldnt play for too long coz sera & i had to catch e last bus home. RP gals & sera, we muz haf more of such gathering sessions when hui is back k! i miss it sooo much!
New Year's Eve
company declared tis day an off day..yeah! but i was still nt spared frm work..actually is coz i already had tis portfolio thingy to do during tis long weekend & have only done a quarter of it e day before..so since i had nth on in e morning, i went to rivervale plaza's macs to do e work direct frm my office laptop as well as check my office mails. then i had to rush back home to haf my bath & lunch b4 going down to zip's place wif kh. zip invited us to his hse for steamboat on tis day, but ended up only kh, rh, cand & me could make it though he had asked quite a few others. it is actually quite a weird combi of pple cuming together to spend new year's eve together but we still had a good time playing mahjong & enjoying a good pot of steamboat, prepared by zip's mum! anyway we ended up having e countdown at zip's place coz by e time we finished our last round of mj, it was juz 10 mins away frm 2008.
but still cand & i were undecided bout where to go after dat coz we still wanted to hang out. as i was craving for some desserts, we finally settled for the 24 hrs Coffee Club opp Cine, which is also e exact same place where i spent my 2007 xmas eve night at..haha. anyway zip came along wif us as he was going to meet his frenz. so we shared a plate of salmon pasta and chocolate fondue while waiting for zip's frenz to end their movie. they came to join us nt long after & we juz sat at Coffee Club to chit chat a little. cand & i went home earlier coz we did nt wish to stay out e whole morning. but by e time i gt home, it was almost 4am..was so dead tired.
New Year's Day
dragged myself up at 10 plus to finish up my work stuffs b4 going to ling's place to meet e gals & JL for another session of mahjong. luckily JL was there so i cld take a short nap while he played 1st..haha..we played till bout 8pm b4 having pizza for dinner..our usual mahjong food..haha. i realised i've lost money for e 3 consecutive days of mahjong i had..tis is bad..i muz keep my hands away frm mahjong for some time le..so gals, dun jio me for mahjong any time tis mth or so k..we shld go for other activities..ktv or games cafe instead!
well i guess i've pretty much exhausted myself for both of my long weekends..been out most of e days & once i'm home, i'm either sleeping or squeezing in time to do my work stuffs. alrite think i needa take a break frm all tis running about..needa leave some time juz for myself & also to get more rest..though it's nt very possible when i'm going back to work tomorrow already. so i'm hoping i dun hafta OT till too late for e next 3 days of e week *crossing my fingers*
actually i wld very much like to sum up bout e year 2007 and also to think bout my resolutions for e year 2008. can u believe dat i haven found e time & energy to do so yet? i guess it wld be better for me to gather all my thoughts 1st b4 blogging them down..so i'll be back to do it when i've found e chance to.
as for now, it's gonna be bed time soon for me..coz i still haf work battles to fight for e remaining week!
