while waiting for my hair to dry and having my mask on..i shall drop a post on the CSC Volunteers Appreciation Tea 08 (actually it shld be dinner) dat was held today. i think it's my 1st or probably 2nd time in my working life dat i stepped out of e office before 6.30pm..really lucky dat today was a pretty slack day & my superior didnt come into e office..so i cld leave early. met shun deng at e busstop & we walked all e way in to find e ulu venue..& along e way, seeing e familar surroundings, i realise how much i miss walking ard campus =( anyway tis is my 3rd year attending VAT..for e 1st yr, i had gotten e Bronze Award, followed by Silver Award in e 2nd yr & guess wat i received tis yr? Long Service Award! make me sound old rite..in fact those who r seated at tis particular table (which includes me) r called e 老人 group lor..so sad rite..haha.
other than dinner, prize presentations and speeches, there was as usual a video screened at e very end, which is a compilation of e projects, events and activities of e past yr. but tis time there wasnt much of me in e video, coz i've nt been so involved last yr. but seeing those pics made me nostalgic bout e past projects & activities i've been involved in. frankly my life in CSC was actually my life in NUS..which means if i didnt join CSC, i wld haf no life in NUS! haha. i really miss volunteering..e warmth of it..e special relationship btw us & e residents..and i miss my kid in Chen Su Lan Children's home too! (wonder if she still remembers me..) a pity i cant be as active in volunteering anymore coz of my work..but i'll still try to be involved whenever i can find e time..afterall it's my passion & it's wat makes me happy =)
