thank god my bday week was quite stress-free at work and best of all, i gt to enjoy almost a week of good food!
here's a recap...
tues - dinner wif some of my present & ex-colleagues at The Rice Table where we had indonesian ala carte buffet..ended with a chocolate cake frm Rive Gauche for e 3 bday ladies, one of whom is me!
wed - dinner wif dear at Pepper Lunch..had my usual fav dish, curry beef pepper rice with cheese..yummy! followed by e sneak preview of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" which we didnt hafta pay a single cent for coz dear gt e free invites =)
thurs - my actual bday. gt a bday treat at a Jap restaurant at Riverview Hotel frm my lady boss..ala carte buffet consisting of sashimi, teppanyaki, tempura etc. after work, dear & i went to MOF @ bugis for dinner..which was actually nt as e original plan. i barely ate anything there except for e ice-cream coz i was still very full frm e buffet lunch & e Awfully Chocolate cake my colleagues gt for me..which unfortunately was e reason y dear did nt haf e chance to carry out e actual plan he had in mind. but it's ok..wat's most important is dat i had his company and his present brought a smile to my face =)
fri - helped wif an event at Hotel Intercontinental, which ended off wif an 8-course chinese dinner..& lucky me gt to enjoy e dinner & even had 2 tables' share of food as e turnout was less than expected. as nt to waste e food, i even gt 2 of my colleagues to join us for e dinner..so they earned themselves a free $80++ meal! haha. anyway after e dinner which ended ard 9, i headed back to e office to get my stuffs, and then accompanied dear & some colleagues to Newton Circus for their late dinner..of course i didnt touch e food, coz i was simply too full.
well it's apparent dat i've been eating tad too much tis week right? haha..so i had better cut down on my food intake for e coming week!
alright, b4 i end off & continue bout my weekend in my next entry, i definitely cant leave out tis impt part - my bday gift frm my dearest bf! it was really a surprise to me..coz it's nt sth i had been asking for nor sth dat i've ever mentioned dat i wanted, yet it turned out to be e bestest gift i've ever received!
wif e thought and effort put into e packaging & handmade card as well as into selecting tis pretty phone..tell me how can i not love it? =p
