on my birthday on friday, i had a lovely surprise bday celebration, thoughtfully planned out by my dearest boy =) dear said to leave it to him plan for my bday..so i didnt ask him anything bout it as i was really busy wif my work for e past few weeks. little did i expect he wld actually plan a surprise celebration for me..even up till e very day of my special day, i didnt suspect a single thing. dat evening, i was still waiting for him to clear his work, while i was clearing mine too..and then at 8 plus, he told me to go up to his office as his colleague needed to speak to me regarding some work. so i went up, opened the door of his office, and was stunned by e number of pple in e room who started singing a birthday song for me..and then i had to blow out quite a number of tealight candles formed in heart shapes and also that of the numeral twenty four (which signifies my age).

anyway i had my RP gals, closer colleagues and ex-colleagues, dear's family, good friends, and colleagues at my celebration..at least 25 pple there..so was really a big surprise! i have never had such a surprise bday celebration wif so many pple involved so was really touched. anyway dear prepared food for everyone - pizzas, sushi, donuts and drinks. and he gt me a tofu cheesecake and a bouquet of my fav flowers =) e celebration ended ard 10 plus, and i went home to spent e last half an hour of my bday watching a touching korean movie on tv till 1am.

on sat, i woke up quite early in e morning to have breakfast wif my parents at a nearby kopitiam..it's been really long since i last did dat..and it feels really nice! after dat, i went home to prepare and left e house to meet dear for a movie at PS. we watched 'Night At The Museum 2' which was pretty hilarious. after e movie, we headed down to Vivo for dear's good friend's belated birthday at this place called 'Go India' and we ate e buffet..which was really not worth e money coz e spread was really little and there r some items which i dun dare to try...haha. well anyway after dat, some of us decided to go to e birthday boy's place to play 'Guitar Hero' which was his bday gift. it was my first time trying out e game..quite interesting..and i ended up staying till 4am at his place..so totally knocked out when i gt home.

as for today, i met ling, jinx and min for my belated bday celebration..we had dim sum high tea at Min Jiang Restaurant at Goodwood Park Hotel. think e spread there is quite good..though e price is definitely higher than those normal dim sum buffets..but it was pretty worth it and it was my bday treat =) after dat we juz walked ard a little while more before heading our seperate ways coz i had to rush home to continue wif my work..and now i've to start packing my luggage for my bangkok work trip on tues. it's gonna be a really rushed trip..no time for shopping or enjoyment but juz work..so i'm nt really excited bout it..plus will be going wif my boss..omg..i hope everything will be fine, and most importantly e event will be a success..praying real hard!

alright i shall end off tis pretty long post with my very own thoughts:

i'm really thankful to have such a sweet and thoughtful boyfriend who put in a great deal of effort in planning my bday celebration for me, to have so many lovely friends who showed their presence at the celebration, to have my dear friends and family who have spent or will be spending their time to have belated bday celebrations with me, and to have so many friends who sent me their well wishes. i know i'm blessed..and i'll always tell myself to remember this when life (mainly due to work) gets rough on me.
