it's been another great break for me..more simply spent than the christmas break but as wonderful! coz i have so many lovely people around me to share e joy of e new year with me =) anyway it's gonna be a long post, so bear with me!

eve of new year's eve - after a considerably long day of work (till 8 plus pm), i went to meet maxine for a chill-out session at her fav bar - Bellini Room, which i am growing to like as well..coz they serve a different genre of live music and an interesting kind of crowd. so we sat there, had our beer (pretty cheap coz it was happy hour for e whole night) and hot wings (which i was craving for coz i didn't have dinner), enjoyed e live music and chatted in between sets till bout 1am before heading home. side note: beer and hot wings juz go so well with each other!

new year's eve - office was closed for e day, but i was working frm home e entire morning..which i realised can actually be more draining than working in e office..but anyway i managed to grab a nap before heading out to meet dear in e evening. we met at clark quay, whiled away our time till his friends arrived..and went to Hooters for dinner - which means hot wings again! haha. but tis time without e beer to go with it..juz rootbeer instead..haha. and after e dinner, we took quite some time deciding where we shld spent our countdown at..and finally settled on this place called 'Players'..it's something like e games cafe juz dat it's a bar coz they serve alcoholic drinks..and some of their games r of a different genre..quite an interesting concept i wld say! so we counted down to 2010 over there..having fun playing games and doing forfeits. after dat, some had to leave and e remaining 4 of us hanged out a while more at Nectarie @ The Cannery for tea and ice-cream and then it was home sweet home. i went to dear's place for e night and we knocked out almost immediately coz it was already 4am in e morning.

new year - dear and i had our first visit to Somerset 313..we had lunch at Say Cheezcake cafe, then began our retail therapy! we also headed down to Suntec City after dat and managed to get some new stuffs for ourselves =) dinner was at Mac Donald's..which was an impromptu decision coz we saw people eating curly fries and were tempted to eat it..haha. and to end off e day, we watched Avatar 3D..e effects were really quite good.

sat - spent e morning at home and went to meet e RP gals for a ktv session at serangoon garden. after which we had dinner at chomp chomp and spent e evening chatting over tea and coffee =) i went home considerably early for a saturday and gladly managed to catch some variety show at night before calling it a day.

sun - dear came over to my house for a morning jog..realised we've been lapsing in our exercise regime..so we resolve to keep it going this year..hopefully we can! anyway after a jog around my estate, we went to meet my parents for an early lunch at e newly opened kopitiam cum wet market near compasspoint..there's quite a variety of food there..sth dat e sengkang residents shld be happy bout. after lunch, dear & i headed home to watch a rented dvd of e romantic comedy "I Love You, Betty Cooper", then slacked abit before i accompanied dear to compasspoint to look for some stuffs. and then he left to meet his pals for dinner while i went home to catch a nap.

oh gosh..e last long weekend for 2009 is over in a flash..and frm wat i know, there wont be as many long weekends in 2010 =( well anyway it's work-reopening for all those working pple and i dislike e dreaded feeling dat's overwhelming me now. but in tis new year, i muz learn to prevent these work stress & problems frm dominating my mind and work towards slowing down my pace of life!
